in tragic madness was found,

Because of this she would be saved, with no harm meant,
But yet Proctor would still be sentenced to his death,
Unless he would confess.
Confess to a lie,
And have a life full of lies,
Confused he was because he wants to live,
but at the end pride took over and was no longer pensive.
He wrote his name,
But refused to keep it and be framed,
For something he's not,
So, for his name he fought.
At the end he could no longer be saved,
And for the right choice he was brave,
And because of one young,
John Proctor was hung.
